The location of the cottage was great, being near to family and in a convenient spot to visit nearby attractions such as Dalby Forest and Pickering. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful owners, who made us feel welcome during our stay. The cottage itself was clean, well equipped, and had gas central heating in all rooms, which was a bonus for staying in colder months. The shared hot tub in the courtyard was a lovely addition, and the cozy sitting room with a log fire made coming back from wet and windy days out very enjoyable.
There were a few issues that affected our experience. The gas flame on the oven was low and took a long time to cook anything, so we ended up relying more on the microwave and hob.
